Two of Ubisoft's biggest games, Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Rainbow Six Siege, are set to collide with the crossover event Operation Amber Sky.

The new live event, which kicks off later this month, will let Breakpoint players take to the battlefield alongside their Siege teammates to complete a set of new story missions.

There will be 9 missions total, following a band of Ghosts who must keep a toxic gas from Sentinel called Amber Ruin from being sold across the world. Players must race to find an antidote while working with Rainbow Six Siege players. This means completing various objectives and even heading into areas where the gas has penetrated while wearing a gas mask.

There are 11 unique rewards to be earned from the event, including Rainbow Six Siege full skins. Plus, after finishing the first live event mission, players can begin deploying Ash, Finka, and Thatcher as Operators anywhere they please in-game. They'll keep their Siege likenesses and equipment.

The event will be included as part of Title Update 3.10, which will be available for all players on Jan. 19. In addition to Operation Amber Sky's new missions and Operators, players can expect over 120 new customization items to tinker with, including full skins from other Operators and additional goodies.

For anyone who's yet to try out Ghost Recon Breakpoint, it'll be available as part of a free weekend taking place Jan. 21-24 on the Xbox and PlayStation family of consoles as well as PC and Stadia. New players can test out Operation Amber Sky and earn the same rewards as those who own the full game. This trial will replace the current six-hour offer, and will allow users to pre-load the game for the test period on Jan. 19 on consoles and PC.

Both Standard and Gold Editions of Breakpoint will be available for up to 85 percent off, with up to 70 percent off the Year 1 Pass. As always, if you purchase the game while playing in the trial, any progress made will carry over to the full version from the free weekend.

For any Breakpoint players looking to get back into the game, this is a great opportunity to do so.
